Washington DC – Republican Donald J. Trump has been declared the winner of the 2016 race for President of the United States. Trump told an enthusiastic crowd that Democrat Hillary Clinton called him up and conceded the race. The billionaire businessman becomes the country’s 45th president.
Locally, Trump easily outperformed Clinton in St. Mary’s and Calvert counties. Clinton, however, won all 10 Maryland electoral votes.
