About Nigeria Customs Service

The Nigerian Customs Service was established in 1891 with responsibility for revenue collection, accounting for the same activities and combating smuggling. The Nigeria Customs Service plays a very important role in the Nigerian economy. The Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment 2022/2023 is currently ongoing and the recruitment form is FREE.

Nigerian Customs Service Application Process

This year’s recruitment procedures are open to more than 3,200 new agents. These officers will be recruited in three major positions in the Framework, namely:

  1. Superintendent Executive
  2. Inspection frame
  3. Deputy Executive

Eligibility requirements for all applicants

All candidates applying for vacancies in Custom Service Recruitment 2023 must possess the following requirements:

  1. Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth or descent
  2. Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old
  3. Must not be less than 1.7 meters for men and 1.64 meters for women.
  4. Must have a fully expanded chest measurement of at least 0.87 meters for men.
  5. Must be certified by a government physician to be physically and mentally fit for duty appointmentRecruitment
  6. Must not suffer from any form of physical or mental disability
  7. Must be free from any form of financial embarrassment
  8. Must be of good character and must not have a criminal record
  9. Must present a state certificate of origin signed by the President/Secretary of their local governments. Any certificate endorsed by a liaison officer will not be accepted.

REMARK: Any certificate or qualification not declared and duly accepted during the application process will not be accepted after exercise recruitment.

Superintendent Framework Requirements:

  1. Senior officers including the Deputy Superintendent of Customs.
  2. Candidates between the ages of 18 and 30
  3. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or HND equivalent in one of the relevant fields of study and a NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

Inspection frame requirements:

  1. Mid-level officers including Assistant Customs Inspectors.
  2. Applicants must possess an ND/NCE obtained from accredited polytechnics in one of the fields of study listed in the framework and NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
  3. Candidates between the ages of 18 and 25

Assistant Manager Requirements:

  1. Junior officers including Customs Assistant.
  2. Applicants must possess SSCE/NECO or GCE with credits in at least 3 subjects, including English and Mathematics, obtained in a single sitting and pass in at least two other subjects.

WHERE

  1. Applicants must obtain GCE Ordinary Level with passes in four subjects including English and Maths achieved in one sitting or five or more subjects including English and Maths achieved in at least two sittings for the Level II Customs Assistant – CONSOL 04.
  2. Applicants must possess evidence of a completed course in the Government Approved First School Leaving Certificate or S.75 or JSSC OR the relevant Trade Test Certificate for Customs Assistant – CONSOL 03.

How to Apply for Customs Service Recruitment

To apply for the 2023 customs recruitment, follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the recruitment portal at vacancy.customs.gov.ng
  2. Select the executive for which you wish to apply: superintendent, inspector or assistant executive »
  3. Read and understand the job function requirements on the portal to ensure you are fully qualified for the position, then continue by clicking “APPLY FOR THIS JOB”.
  4. Complete your registration form by selecting your position and basic information
  5. Read the terms and conditions on the portal and click the box next to the link to confirm that you have read and understood the terms.
  6. Confirm you are not a robot and click the APPLY buttonWAEC Result
  7. Check your inbox and click on the verification link sent to you to confirm your account
  8. You will be redirected to a login page. Log in with your email and password to access your dashboard and complete your application by uploading the necessary documents.

How to complete the recruitment form

To complete the customs service form, make sure you have the following documents:

Biographical data:

  1. Make sure your biographical data is entered correctly on the recruitment portal.

ID photo :

  1. Upload a recent passport photo with the following specifications:
  • A JPG, JPEG, PNG image file.
  • Maximum file size of 200 KB.

  • If you’re scanning a photo, crop the image to show only your head and shoulders before uploading.
  • The passport photo must be on a plain background.

  • Don’t wear dark glasses on your passport photo
