Music composer Ricky Kej’s Grammy stuck at Bengaluru customs for 2 months | Latest India News

Kej won the Grammy for his album ‘Divine Tides’ earlier this year with Stewart Copeland

Bengaluru: Grammy-winning music composer Ricky Kej said on Tuesday that his medal for this year’s award had been held up by the Bangalore Customs Department for more than two months.

“Ask for urgent help @ChennaiCustoms @mumbaicus1 @CommrBlrCityCus @Customs_India. I recently won a Grammy award, my medallion has been stuck in Bengaluru customs for over 2 months. @FedEx @FedExHelp @FedExIndia is not responding and is not helpful. Could you please help me get my medal?” the music composer and environmentalist wrote in a post on Twitter.

Kej won the Grammy for his album “Divine Tides” earlier this year with Stewart Copeland.

“I would sincerely ask everyone not to blame customs for this. They may not know what the product is…or what it is for. They’re probably following procedure. The motive for this tweet was to let them know about the package, and I hope they will pass it on to me,” Kej wrote.

The customs department then responded on the microblogging platform, seeking details of the package and ensuring that the problem was solved.

“Namaste, warm congratulations on winning the prestigious Grammy Award. Help us by providing tracking number or any reference.. for fast customs clearance. @FedExIndia.. please do the needful as a matter of priority,” Bengaluru City Commissioner of Customs said.
